WHO ARE THE CUBAN FIVE? Gerardo Hernández, Ramon Labanino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González and Rene González.
WHY WERE THEY UNJUSTLY ARRESTED AND IMPRISONED? The Five were sent to the United States by the Cuban government to monitor the activities of Miami based anti-Cuba groups. After gathering and submitting evidence to the American authorities the Five were arrested, while those who perpetrated and planned future violent activities are free. The Cuban Five were working to save lives and did not commit any crimes. They are currently in federal prisons throughout the United States collectively serving 4 life sentences plus 77 years.
